Hi all, yes I know, another business/functional analyst consultant...

I recently had my first evaluation after being at my current employer for one year. They gave me a 2% raise (without me asking for it) and I'm not sure what to think about it. Don't want to sound ungrateful, since it's always nice to get some extra, but they made it sound like it was something quite exceptional that they normally don't do often and I'm not sure whether they were serious about it or not.

I'm in the same boat as a lot of people here with the disappearing of my IP rewards, but they are actively looking at other net allowances to partly compensate it. Luckily since we don't have a lot of these right now, we might be getting something out of it...I will update this thread after the index of January 2024 and the loss of my IP rewards to provide further insights.

Not currently considering going freelance since I have a young child and a second one on its way and thinking about taking some parental leave and even work 4/5 for some time.

Just curious to see how my current package would be received by peers and your opinions about that 2% raise.
