I wanted to post this to give some perspective on jobs with a humanities degree, rather than IT sector. I think I'm compensated fairly well, given that it's a 80% job. I think about switching to the private sector (I'm bored from time to time). Perhaps I'll earn more? Maybe the grass is greener. For the private sector, I doubt I will have the same perks for me and my family in terms of job security, flexibility and vacation days, and probably a lot more work pressure and overtime. Government jobs could pay the same (or more), but are mostly in Brussels and I don't want to do that commute.

Finding a new 80% comfy job at the same pay is difficult to get, I fear. I mostly want a confirmation that my thought process here is correct.
