HI all,

My wife, which earns like x4 times what I earn, says everytime that she has the chance that my wage is too low and that I should ask a wage rise. She says that my bonus is not normal at all and that they should reduce the bonus and increase the monthly wage at least. I'm curious about what do you think :

3. CONTRACT & CONDITIONS

  • Current job title: Operations Desk
  • Job description: We are basically middlemen -against a commission-. I'm personally responsible of dailing between ship owners and cargo owners. Making the shipping process from A to B as smooth as possible.
  • Seniority: about 7 years in this role / company
  • Official hours/week : 38 hours per week
  • Average real hours/week incl. overtime / weekends : 41-42 hours per week
  • Shiftwork or 9 to 5 (flexible?): Monday-Friday 9-17h with 1h for lunch, no issues in leaving earlier when needed
  • On-call duty: Yes, 24/7, but receiving ooo calls is very very seldom. In don't mind in sending emails after office hours. It saves me work the next day in the morning when the rush hours occurs.
  • Hardware: just usual stuff, phone, laptop and every IT gadget that I could use/need.
  • Vacation days/year: 28 days ( since my wife has like 45 days a year, no issues for me in going abroad and "working from home" from a sunny place while my wife is on real holidays.

  • Mobility budget/car/bike: Small hybrid Mercedes car + bus pass when needed
