The higher my salary has gone over the last three years, the shorter is my shellfire!
I went from 63k in April 22 to 78k at a new workplace. In December 22 indexation kicked in and my salary jumped to 88k and I was fired in March 23 because I became too expensive for the organisation (I guess) because I was replaced by two freelancers and one student intern.

Unemployed for six months and I managed to get back into the workforce in October 23 (despite my age) and this time it was at 98k and now barely two months in, I was fired on 7 December 2023.

The lesson for me is the higher you earn, the more you are in the finance peoples' radar. They start weighing your output to what you cost and then decide you can easily be replaced by freelancers/external consultants. That's what's happening again...
