I'm working for 14 years for same company in the Netherlands. Current function is Senior Lab Scientist in an R&D laboratory. My described responsibilities are lab analysis or product development with no routine behaviour , creating new methods, back-up of project Scientist/Manager in global projects. Other responsibilities (Not written in function - not seen by HR) : Capex/Opex estimates and follow-up , lead of Capex improvement projects, Lead project manager due to shortage; maintaining lab-assets (equipment maintenance), planning the agenda for my colleagues.

I love to coach people, so i get the responsibility over trainees and new lab-colleagues to reach their maximum potential.

Is my job-responsibility / salary correct?

My Job is quite stressful cause due to the extra tasks. I would like to switch job with more recognized responsibilities , e.g. Lab manager or QA manager, but i'm slightly scared that i wont improve in sense of salary nor in mental health.
